The information you wanted to verify that I take was your Grand
father, that the ship he was on , was very much the LST333, As far
as I know I am the last living member of that ship. The 333 was the
very first LST lost in ww2, and the only one that was lost that day,
I remember that day very well, as it was my 22nd birthday. Your
letter brought back a memory that I had forgotten along with many
others. I finally remembered your granddad,,, as we were friends, I
also remembered that he and the other cooks were fixing a special
birthday dinner for me for later that night and we were going to
have it in the engine room( where we always managed to have a few
drinks hidden down there) This is one of the few memories I can
remember, To this day I have no idea, how I got off the ship or
where I went after the explosion, I have lost at least one year out
of my life. Your letter to J. Perlowski gave part of that year. I
have had it for now, as I have been very much under the weather for
a week now, at 84Yrs. I found out it takes a little longer to come
back.
I hope to hear from you soon, I may be able to answer questions you
may Have.

And from there we have Jason's reply
email, and pictures to boot!

Mr. Alexander,
Guy Fallow would have been my great uncle. He was my grandmothers brother. I
have his picture and his purple heart. I will attach pictures of them so you can
see them too. I am glad to hear that you are doing well other than that cold you
have. I was able to send those pictures of the ship i got off the internet to my
grandmother. I know that she was glad to see them. Thank you for taking the time
to get back with me so soon.
